Ustadha Sahrain grew up in the D.C. metro area where she benefited greatly from an active Muslim community. Eager to learn more about the Deen from authentic sources, she moved to Atlanta to complete the 1-Year Intensive in Islamic & Arabic Studies under the guidance of Shaykh Muhammad bin Yahya al-Ninowy.

After graduating from the program, she focused on continuing to study Quran, with an emphasis on tajweed and memorization, from her local teachers. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of South Florida and currently works as a middle school math/science teacher in Tampa, FL. In her free time, she enjoys English language tutoring and reading. She believes in the transformative effect of compassionate education and is excited to work with Muslim youth.
